Service Description

Expressive Landscapes Workshop with local artist Sarah Carrington Join Sarah Carrington on 23rd April 7-9pm for a two-hour mixed media workshop expressive landscape, where you will explore loose and free painting techniques inspired by our beautiful Causeway Coast. Designed for those who want to truly develop their painting skills, this is a structured, learning-focused course. Through step-by-step demonstrations, practical tips, and encouraging guidance, you’ll develop several small studies exploring texture and composition, leading to one finished piece. What to Bring A4 sketchbook or paper (250gsm or heavier) Acrylic paints and a selection of brushes Mark-making tools such as chalks, pens, and pencils Two canvas boards or canvases (max A3) Boards, easels, and water pots will be provided. All materials are available at Bridge Street Art. Please note: There are stairs to access the venue, so it may not be fully accessible for those with mobility challenges. Workshop Details Maximum participants: 8 Ages: 18+ About the Artist Sarah Carrington was born in Scotland and studied Fine Art at Edinburgh University. Since graduating in 1999, she has worked as a professional artist, specialising in landscape painting and drawing. Now based on the Causeway Coast, Sarah finds endless inspiration in the meeting of land, sea, and sky. She exhibits widely across the UK and regularly leads workshops in schools and local communities.
